The Matrox DualHead2Go Digital Mac Edition (ME) adds up to two DVI monitors to your laptop or desktop computer by connecting to the Mini DisplayPort™/ Thunderbolt™ video output of your system. It connects to the video output of your system and uses the system's existing GPU to provide high-quality, uncompressed graphics and video across all monitors. Ideal for business users and content creators looking to increase their productivity with a dual display setup, this little silver box lets you run different applications on each monitor or view one application across two monitors.
Montreal-based Matrox recently announced the updated DualHead2Go Digital Mac Edition multi-display adaptor, (see Architosh, Product Review: Matrox DualHead2Go DP Edition, 29 Nov 2010), designed specifically for use with Apple Mac systems.
Thunderbolt Technology
The new DualHead2Go Digital Mac Edition MDA works by connecting the small silver boxed unit to the Thunderbolt port or mini DisplayPort video output of Mac notebooks or desktops and drives two external DVI displays each with a maximum resolution of 1920×1200.
